Interesting but it is not enough for the Sharks here, they retain and take on Carter as a cap dump and Arguably Petry as a cap dump (He did not look like himself last season). I get Jake is a good piece but they are rebuilding so I believe they look to go younger and with more picks/prospects.

Guentzel is by far the most valued player in that deal. Easy flip for San Jose who clearly wouldn't have a problem doing that as they just acquired Duclair. Of course, the real world results would be players telling their agents to avoid San Jose at all costs so none of this would ever happen.

SJ will be looking for futures. These guys are on expiring deals.

Carter and Petry say no to San Jose, And very doubtful that Kyle Dubas gives up Jake Guentzel for Erik Karlsson as well.
