I agree, no way we compete unless we get Karlsson and then at some point during season improve the 3rd line. Personally I don't think Nylander would stick in the top 6. Wasn't super impressed with him last year. I think best case scenario we trade Rutta at deadline then use that money to get a 3C. Then can have Rust back in top 6 and a third line of Tatar-new 3C then slide Eller to 4C.

What if neither pan out though? I'd rather try Puustinen in the top 6 because he hasn't gotten a chance yet. Nylander we know what it looked like. Puustinen, O'Connor, even Poulin I'd be happy to give a look to in the top 6. But we know realistically that will not happen unless there's an injury.
