One More Move

Can't see Goodie being moved without the Rangers getting the full Monty. His cap hit is just untenable in this current cap situation. Next year it becomes a lot easier to move.

You are correct that next year would the optimal time for a buyout. I made this comment earlier today in another thread: The only way your going to move Goodrow is if Anaheim needs to take on additional CAP dollars to get above the league CAP floor. Anaheim is most like on Barclay's No Way Jose list, but if this is not the case you can throw in a couple of used puck bags to seal the deal. The same reasoning applies to Trouba. You can get better or equal value for less, and Schneider could be plugged right in at RD2. Take away the big hits, and Troub's is respectable D-man, but way overpriced at $8M. The Rangers simply have to clear CAP space in order to improve the team.
