When making a team for 2024-25, make sure you select it when first making the team! That will better reflect contract statuses and make it easier to work for the future. For example, if you did 2024-25 it would impact having to resign Pettersson and some of the fringe players such as Joshua, Silovs, Rathbone, and Dries.

I'm also not sure if PHI would take that package for Konecny. They're interested in futures rather than someone like Boeser. It will cost a first for him and go up from there.

Flyers easily decline

Podkolzin, albeit a high draft pick, has basically no value. This is basically TK for Boeser and a 2nd. Boeser also isn't what he used to be valued at, and during a rebuild, doesn't make sense to take on salary, we need picks basically.

That being said, I've always been a Boeser fan, and would love to see him play for the Flyers. A guy of this age and talent, if he were to re-sign here, would be fun to see and would fit the timeline, albeit probably be around 28/29 when we started to compete for real. Still not old, but not where we'd want in a perfect world.
