I find it very interesting that a lot of DET fans are saying this, but in my experience most fans from impartial teams say that getting a 40goal scorer in their prime, locked up for 8 years is what you would be PRAYING that 9OA turns into.

Sometimes there is value in the sure thing. IMHO, DET could use a little sure thing right now to support their good prospect pool as they look to make steps in a difficult division.

He scored 27G this season; I think you guys are factoring in the fact that he scored 41 the previous season a little too much.

Look at other picks that were 9, many winners there. Wings pass on this trade all day and it's not close
