Description
After watching teams consistently take cheap shots at their star players and young players all season long with nobody really stepping up to answer the bell, the Stars bring in an enforcer (Watson), some big defensemen (Mayfield and Soucy), and bring up a couple of big young forwards who just had solid AHL seasons (Gardner and Tufte) to employ a "f**k around with our star players and find out" mentality.

This team maintains most of its offensive firepower with the arrival of Stankoven (even though Dadonov and Domi are gone), while getting much better defensively on the back end, and adding more size and physicality.

It's so tough for me to gauge what his value is. I've seen some ACGM's where he's only getting $2.2M/yr and others where he's getting $5M/yr.

The problem with Tufte is he doesn't really play to his size. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't receive a qualifying offer this offseason. Swap Delly and Stanky and I don't think Esa is a first line dman anymore. more of a second or third pairing guy with a fast dman with him.
