I would accept that.

That’s about as ideal of a return as we could hope for. Young d man with some term. A pick around 20-26, I don’t think roslovic is that great at center, but he fits the age range and is a short term deal that can be moved or released this year. 3rd is whatever, we have two in that range of 75-80 but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to have another.

Peeke is the main piece that would make me ok with this. It means we aren’t gonna have to sign another term contract in the UFA market to an aging guy if we’re moving Parayko.

This is not a good offer. It would be far better use of assets to give Parayko a proper partner. And I don't know why Peeke is so tempting, he's an average 3rd pairing D-man and playing him up is too difficult for his abilities.

I mean Peeke is certainly a downgrade, but he's one of the few d men in the league who had comparable deployment to Parayko. He produced at about half the clip of Parayko, but the cap hit is much less, he's at an age to grow with the core (Not saying Parayko isn't), and there isn't really any long term commitment there.

I would safely say that Peeke is a #4 that's a defensive minded player. Again, not great. But it sure gives us a lot more flexibility in the next couple of years.

Peeke has not had comparable deployment to Parayko. It's a monstrous downgrade. And by taking him and at least one season of Roslovic, you get exactly zero flexibility this summer if not beyond. We just need to stop jerking around and give the guy a real partner, a J-Bo type partner. That is far easier and will work out far better.

I agree thats a more ideal route. I just don't see the route to get to that point. The closest thing I could remotely see available would be Noah Hanifin. Who i guess realistically we could fit in if we shipped out Scandella. I'm not to keen on having that much money and term committed to defense though. If it works great, but Hanifin is going to need an extension, and i don't think we'd be able to move mainly Krug for next season.
