Alvin is trying to win, gain cap space, add picks and prospects all at the same time......basically sucking and blowing at the same time. The Canucks probably should buy out OEL, but they almost never do the right thing. My guess is he stays and pretty much torpedo's a playoff run, but what do i know.

Washington is not rebuilding, but is certainly looking to move Mantha and probably the disgruntled Kuznetsov, while still hoping to compete. They get two top six wingers and two younger cost controlled players without giving up much. Vancouver gets a desperately needed RD and a C that allows them to move Millers contract.

Pittsburgh has made it clear they are not rebuilding and this was one of the rumored TDL options. In the event Bear doesn't fit into the Canucks salary cap scheme, he's good added value for Pitt.
