I think that there's an inherent contradiction in any proposed Thatcher Demko trade:
If he comes back and plays enough games in March and April to show that he's returned to his 2021-2022 form, why would Vancouver trade him?
If he comes back and plays enough games in March and April but doesn't show that he's returned to his 2021-2022 form, why would anyone trade for him?
I hope that he, like Alex Turcotte and Nic Robertson and all other young players whose careers have been momentarily (one prays) interrupted by injury, recovers completely and realizes his potential, but I don't think that there are enough games left in the season to convince a conservative GM like Rob Blake to throw the dice on him.
