Description
I only include a 4th asset as teams maxs

Like I don’t see WPG willing to part with their package PLUS more than a 3rd. Etc, you get the idea.

Détails additionnels:
can't leave without Holtz+1st - and the only way NJD could outbid VGK, WPG, CAR. He's equal (at worst) or better than Morrow+1st, Rutger+1st, Cormier+1st.

This brings it down to every teams 2nd piece, Gunler+2nd are equal to Lucuis+3rd. Dean+Brisson leads me to seeing if VGK would part with those 3 (keeping their other D prospects) they're in the lead as I think VGK would definitely want to outbid WPG (both teams want to win ASAP). This leads me to seeing the Devils (who require a Meier extension to trade) need to beat:

Brisson
Cormier
1st (2023)

at minimum if we want exclude Gunler/ Lucuis/ Dean.

This again brings me back to Mukhamadullin. Vegas I think would easily give up Cormier and Brisson; they're such a wild team they'd take this swing. You can't beat Cormier with Walsh or Bahl.

Détails additionnels:
And lastly we have Buffalo, who knows Holtz/ Cormier are probably on the table. By my own structural assumption Buffalo needs to top:

Holtz/ 1st/ B+ prospect (Muk)
Cormier/ 1st/ B+ prospect (Brisson)

Here NJD look like they have the edge.
So now we get Buffalo involved.
Sabres fans have said it would probably be Kulich and I think Johnson is a no brainer.

I think if youre San Jose - have to "accept" any offer of:

      Holtz/ 1st/ Muk
      Cormier/ 1st/ Brisson
      Kulich/ 1st/ Johnson

wpg/ car come second (although I do like Morow/ Rutger)
any assets you get on top of that trio is great. I would find it hard to believe though that Vegas isnt going to attempt to throw those 3 at the Sharks - which is why I suggest the other two values.

Ill go with Buffalo winning the bid - as I believe they want to push for the playoffs and really try and kill off Ottawa/ Det as I don't see either making as big of a move and it would take away NJD's addition as well.

        Détails additionnels:
Now I only bring this up as to have a discussion. The Sharks were incredibly high on Savoie (believed to be the reason why the Sharks traded back) - would Buffalo entertain that move to keep Jiri who looks closer to NHL ready? It also surely confirms Buffalo cannot be outbid and they lose less total assets? Just a thought.

Savoie and two 2nds would be a fleece by buffalo compared to the rest of these deals, if they have interest in Meier

Holtz hurt his hip today, pass on him until we know what that is.

Pass on Savoie and no 1st coming back

I wouldn’t accept a 1st, Brisson and Cormier deal from Vegas, certainly not a must accept like stated in the trade.

The others are good but certainly the ceiling of what I see Meier getting. Carolina must have is Morrow, Buffalo must have is Kulich, and to me devils must have is Hughes or Nemec but we all know what their fans will say about that

Do you mean Buffalo fleeces SJS (just to clarify).
I think the Sharks scouts are really high on Savoie - so I’d bet Grier would do something like that. Just to open the conversation.

You can’t be serious on Hughes or Nemec.
That’s never gonna happen: but if Grier somehow swings that I’ll eat it. But I’d put a large portion of money down Muk/Holtz is the Devils top offer.

As for Savoie see my comment above.

It was never confirmed San Jose was in on Savoie, that type of stuff never comes out. Just pure speculation. I’d be fine with Savoie but there has to be at least a 1st coming back. I don’t see the rentals so far this season going for a ‘23 1st and Meier not get one.

As far as the Hughes Nemec deal, Grier has to shoot for an A prospect and both are exactly that. Sharks are thin at D, there’s many teams interested in Meier and they don’t have to move him. Everyone continues to think he has to be moved which he doesn’t. Sharks would be just fine retaining the services of a likely 40+ goal scorer. Grier has made it clear that if you want him you have to step up and force him to accept an offer he can’t refuse. Hughes or Nemec would do that and beat out any other suitors.
