So here's the thing, after this ROR trade, I'm honestly all sorts of confused in terms of return, but if we're going by that trade? Is this enough? While Knies and Niemela are solid prospects, I feel like if the ROR trade sets the bar you need to add more here. Maybe a couple more picks?

Two sides to a coin lol.
But imo that’s why I said I’d LOVE to see all 3 specs. It all depends really. I’d bet an arm and a leg Grier sees Knies as like a S+ prospect lol. Griers still very odd to me; people like Pat Bacon or other analysts have said the Sharks got hosed on the Burns trade for example.
But everyone (including many of those same people) were screaming Burns would never get a return and that Burns is not a first pair D like Sharks fans were saying. Now all the talk is “oh yeah burns is a bonafide top pair guy, minute eater, Sharks got hosed”. So you can’t really win either way.
He moved salary and that was the goal, got Lorentz and a goalie I see some potential in plus a pick. It’s not a great trade but he hasn’t really made enough moves for me to judge such a pinnacle trade to the Sharks future (Meier or Karlsson).
Despite what other fanbases say;
If Grier can’t get at least (ATLEAST):
Holtz + 1st + That devils prospect D with a massive name
Morrow + 1st + Gunler
Knies + Topi + First
Then I’m already worried if they aren’t in the headline. But at the same time; idk what Griers potential for being a good GM is. These would be his first ACTUAL trades. Burns was a necessity tbh and I miss him. I’m gonna miss Meier or Karlsson but like Burns; they deserve a playoff run.
Grier can’t let Sharks can’t get hosed so I can’t say for certain how he’ll proceed because this draft is worth having 2-4 picks in the first
