Horvat got a 1st, a good prospect, and a decent, young roster player
Tarasenko got a 1st, a 4th (really a 3rd I think cause Rangers will make playoffs), and a bottom 6 roster player
Meier has more value than both these guys and I don't think that's controversial. I think Meier should definitely get a 1st, especially given that's the only thing both of the other trades had in common. I think Meier should also get a prospect like Horvat got. I think Mukhamadullin would be a good add as he fits a need on defense (especially the left side) for SJ. I think Raty is probably a better prospect than Shak but not by much. That could be up for debate but they're more or less similar in value I think. Sharangovich probably has a bit more value than Beauvillier. Overall, I think NJ 2023 1st, Sharangovich, and Mukhamadullin is pretty close to NYR/DAL 1st, Beauvillier, and Raty. The NJ package is maybe slightly better but I think it's close. Since Meier>Horvat, I added Mcleod (similar to Blais, bottom 6 forward. Mcleod is probably better and I love his faceoffs.) and a 3rd like St. Louis will receive.
Overall, Beauvillier, Raty, and 2023 1st is comparable to 2023 1st, Sharangovich, and Mukhamadullin. Since Meier>Horvat, NJ also adds Mcleod and a 3rd. A bottom 6 center and a mid round pick is not a big ask to make up the difference.
