You want a half a point a game 21 year old when Ottawa give up a 1st, 2nd and 3rd? How is it not? Ottawa at least got him for a full season, as a deadline pick up, you're not getting a young roster player for him, that's absolutely insane

Is Jarvis better than DeBrincat? Is the 2023 1st round pick (in the 25-32 range you would hope) better than the 7th overall last year? How is the package here more than what Ottawa gave?

I also add Hamonic, and not Holden, to replace Coghlan.

Cat is an RFA.

It's more than what Ottawa gave for Cat easily. Jarvis is worth more than a 7th overall pick. Hamonic is a cap dump, he's bad. This package is WAY more than what Ottawa gave up for him. The fact that the 1st could be late but isn't certain does not matter when it's unprotected. It's a 1st, a 21 year old NHL player scoring at a half a point per game in his sophomore season, and you want more than that? This is WAY too much
