I think the deal for Blackwood is fine if we move on from him. He probably even goes for less.

Los Angeles isn't going to trade a roster player and an A prospect -- both RhDs -- unless they get immediate help at LhD. Matheson has been on the IR list twice this season and won't be off it until 2023. Struble may not sign with whatever team owns his rights when his collegiate career is over this spring and Biondi is an underdog to make the NHL. The Kings decline, although Walker and a third for Joel Edmundson with 50% retention has some appeal.

I would say for NYR the idea is spot on, what they need. Even put a top 6 winger in 'Dadonov' there that very well could yield with Panarin. Only problem is cap space.
NYR just don't have the space, and those 6 somewhat M coming NYR way. I believe it is more likely if you leave 'Dadonov' out of it.
I understand that you put him there to work money wise for MTL probably, which makes it problematic.

According to this site NYR will have 7.1 mil in space come the TDL. I spent a lot of time making sure the trades would work money wise if they were at the TDL.

I can appreciate this.

I was sending this as if Matheson is healthy come TDL and had already packaged Eddy to EDM. Struble and Biondi were definitely minimal value throw ins but I was valuing it:

Matheson as an upgrade on Walker.
MTL would love Grans Helge.
Lemieux as a negative/disappointment (unless I'm wrong here) + needed thrown in to make the money work
Struble + Biondi (who could be swapped I'm sure) to balance this -------- assuming everyone is healthy at TDL.

The difference between Matheson and Walker is not Grans but to make it work Lemieux needed thrown in (which in this case I was under the assumption would bring the value down a bit) then 2 low value prospects to round it out.

Wasn't proposing this as an insult, this was my thought process to the swap.
