Fixing defense and goalie

Let's assume for the moment that Vejmelka = Mittelstadt, although the former is looking very much like a starting goalie (which is why you're acquiring him) and the latter is looking like a VERY high draft pick who just isn't turning out. That means that you're valuing Chychrun at a 2023 first as long as it's not a top 10 pick, a good prospect and two unsigned youngsters who can be free agents a couple of months after their collegiate seasons end. I don't think that that's the kind of offer that's going to get Chychrun.

Arizona is not trading Vejmelka. These are becoming spam, its not going to happen

And even if it did, Chychrun does NOT “fix the defense”
He’s bad on the right side & it would be a mistake to pay all that & then put him in a spot where he’s likely to be unsuccessful

Chychrun is a good player
Just not the right fit for the Sabres though
