You shouldn't but you have been doing it since 2015 so why would id be diffetent now? They haven't been this close to the cup since 2017 (on paper. They haven't had a team that deep since then).

You're talking about a legit chance to make a run at a Cup and you'd rather preserve draft picks? No offense but that's nuts.

PIT is no lock to go deep into the playoffs this year but if they keep playing well and look ready to make a run, why would you not go for it before Geno, Crosby, and Letang are too old.

That's a big if. We currently aren't even in playoff contention and I think the roster has a lot of flaws that will make it tough to have a deep run. Our top 6 is fine, I would use 2nd round picks instead to try and fix bottom 6.

Only way Kane goes to pit is if he forces his way there like giroux with Florida last season. They don't have the prospects to beat any other teams offer. This would be a very disappointing return for Kane.
