If he targets more, he will probably have to go for a bridge first.

I also wouldn't pay DeBrincat 9 M$ per year. Same ballpark as the others (Tkachuk, Stutzle, Norris, Chabot), he's not better.

If not, trade him.

He's projecting to be a Heiskanen hybrid. Wouldn't be surprised if he commanded those numbers off the hop. If anything, yeah I'll bridge him 3 x 6.

Cat's contract is going to be weird one and I would like to see in the realm of 8.15 or 8.5. The structure is going to be the important factor if they decide on the 8 years. He'll want the 9 million qualifying so maybe the first year looks something like that off the bat.

Despite his lack of finish, he's been one of the best players on the ice night in and night out. He'll start scoring soon. Him and Giroux have kind of switched roles in that aspect.

Just happy that 22 is waived... the next thing this team needs to work on is D zone structure and shooting the puck.
