Ottawa shouldn't trade for Chychrun. He has too many nagging injuries and, yes, can be a great defenseman when healthy, but he seems like the "Matt-Murray-of Defensemen" where he is just injury-plagued.

That package is like FOUR 1sts + 2nd value for Ottawa

JBD + 2023 1st clearly are

Boucher was a 10th OA pick just 15 months ago. While he was a major reach and had a really bad season last year, he has been doing great this season and might rebuild his value. There's absolutely no point trading him for his CURRENT value (2nd? 3rd?)

Brannstrom has looked fantastic in preseason and in the first 6 games of the season.

Heck, if he keeps playing like he has so far this season, I'm not even sure I'd want to trade him for an injury prone D-man with only 3 years before UFA

With how Sanderson and Brannstrom have been playing so far this season, Chychrun to Ottawa got even less likely now.

Go after a physical defensive RHD-man instead, someone to upgrade on Hamonic
