Bruins add Horvat who can become their next top center after this year, depending on what happens with Bergeron and Krejci. Schenn is added for depth and 7th is for the missing 2024 pick. Canucks add a top four stay at home RD with term on a good contract, as well as Smith who can be put on any line as a RW. Studnicka is given his last chance on the Canucks with a different style of play.

Bruins shed cap with Reilly going to the Blackhawks. Hawks also add Frederic who can possibly pan out into a better player for them, where he may get more minutes. Hawks add a 6th as well for their missing 2023 pick. Bruins add a young prospect who is from the area as well as a versatile bottom six forward.
