Description
With the way things sit Robertson will be on the Marlies roster once lily is placed on ltir and once brought up on emergency basis the Leafs will be within 4 god damn dollars of the cap, absolute wizardry of the cap by pridham.

With that being said this is what I see happening once lily returns from ltir.

I have Benn and Holmberg as the scratches as Benn is probably the best #7 for all situations and Holmberg because first of all he had a solid camp and he is waivers exempt

I really like this roster, I put jarnkrok at 3c as he is a bit better in the middle over kerfoot and keeping kerfoot and malgin on the wings makes in not only a really fast checking line but also really good with rush chances.

To call Pridham (and other Leafs executives) "gold medalists) is absolutely crazy. They have demonstrated with their signings and contract negotiations they less knowledge of the cap than other NHL executives. The fact that Leafs are depending on LTIR and need to trade two regulars (by your post) after the season starts, to me shows the incompetence of the Leafs executives.

Holmberg should probably be playing in either the NHL or AHL to be getting used to North American ice.

Better to have a vet be the healthy scratch

I do agree but it's more or less to show him as the first call up I guess as he doesn't need to pass through waivers

Right, but since he's waivers exempt, there's literally no reason to keep him up if he's just gonna sit in the press box. It'll hurt his development to do so. That said, I could see him beating out NAK for a roster spot on the fourth line.

Holl is better than Benn? If we have the cap space for him, he's worth keeping, he's a decent player. And trading him won't solve our cap space issues.

Engvall has a low cap hit for what he brings to the team, a guy who can slot in anywhere in the middle six and is great on the PK. We can't trade away Engvall with nobody to fill that void. Also, uh, he was literally just signed. The Leafs *are* a contender (please don't laugh at me lol). Why would we trade him at the deadline? Especially if he has a good year. And for a team this far into cap hell, I can't see Dubas agreeing to any retention.

I could see Holl being moved if it does make our cap space work, but I can't see Engvall going anywhere.
