Why would the rangers trade a good young center in Chytil, a young d men with third pair upside in Jones, and Kravtsov who also has talent for Carson Soucy and Morgan Geekie? Makes no sense for NYR.

Ok so this is obviously a troll, but why? What purpose does this serve? I mean it's not funny whatsoever, there doesn't seem to be a point to it, you haven't replied to anyone or done anything to indicate it's clearly sarcasm or to add to the joke. It's basically just a waste of your and our time. I'm all for joke ACGM's, but at least make it funny, make an attempt.

O.K. Time to reply. I believe the Armchair GM forum should be addressed as close to real time salary cap issues as possible. The Rangers, as most NHL teams, are struggling to build a contender within the cap system. Their most needed position is 3rd line LD. Past history reveals the preference for a ‘big body’ defenseman I.e. Tinordi, Nemeth, Braun. Zack Jones is a placeholder until they find a suitable d-man. within their cap space. The only players within this tradeable salary frame are Kakko and Chytil, and I’m keeping Kakko. Kravtsov is fragile and not physically built for the NHL (watch and see, he will be dealt shortly). Realistically, their are not a lot of options open now until later in the season trade deadline when salaries are more affordable. Sorry if this trade is not proposed in fantasy.
