This team is remarkably shallow right now.

Not that its their fault but Kerfoot at 2C, Jarnkrok in the top six, Holl and Giordano making up half of the top four, and the obvious shaky goaltending should be very worrisome for Leafs fans.

Some of us aren't worried because we already saw the writing on the wall with this atrocious offseason and came to terms with it.

There really isn't much to be worried about, they will probably make the playoffs regardless, and they haven't had any playoff success, so the only step back is missing the playoffs. At this point Leaf fans are just waiting for them to pass the first round for them to have something to worry about. Before that, worry won't creep into the fan base at large until the dreadful round 1 elimination matches.

If the Leafs are about to miss the playoffs, fans will be disappointed but maybe they would welcome that over another 1st round exit because it would ensure changes and also the sooner the disappointment of a lost season comes, the better in this case.
