Yeah the Salary cap isn't increasing $10,000,000 in the next 2 years.
Detroit's not surrendering their 2023 1st unless it's for a franchise player. And Sorry Jakob Chychrun isn't a franchise altering Dman.
We don't need Elias Lindholm with Marco Kasper coming up in 1-2 years from now.
And Yzerman is resigning Oskar Sundqvist, Only to healthy scratch him either.
1. The salary cap is pretty much confirmed to "significantly increase" after 2023-24, and the rumored amount is ~10M. Also, the margins for this team aren't slim, it has almost 7M in free space, so not only is that point incorrect and unnecessary, but most likely the opposite of the truth.
2. I meant to add the 2024 1st, sorry about that. Also, Chychrun isn't a franchise alterning dman, but he is worth at least a 1st, given he's shown amazing offensive potential, scoring at a 25 goal. 60 point pace in 2020-21, and being only 24 years old. Also, he's been playing for Arizona, which likely deflates his numbers, he's certainly got potential to be a top 20, even top 10 dman in the league.
3. Marco Kasper is still only 18, we have no idea if he'll be good. We can't guarantee he'll be an impact player right out of the gate. Furthermore, I never said this was what I think is gonna happen, I just said this would be cool. I like Lindholm as a player, so seeing him on one of my favorite teams would be pretty cool.
4. Why is this your focus? This is a 2024-25 team made purely for fun, why are you fixating on someone I signed because I needed to fill a scratch spot? It isn't serious, you don't need to nitpick every single mistake, if you're so pedantic that you're criticising the signing of a placeholder 13th forward on an imaginary team you should probably take a break from this website.
in conclusion, go touch some grass
