Description

The jets trade was made by a jets fan I assume. Wanted to see if it could work. I doubt Winnipeg would do it at this point. Would have made more sense at the start of free agency so they could possibly get a younger big fish.
Pens give Arizona McGinn for basically nothing. Would be fine with nothing too. They could buy low and put him in a bigger role to increase his value.
Anaheim buys low on Kapanen as a cheap middle 6 winger who should rebound and is also young enough.
Pens get a much needed RD prospect.

Pretty deep lineup and pens could really do so much. They could move Poehling up to 3C, Carter to 3RW, trade Zucker with 50% retention to get TDL cap space, and have a 4th line of Zohorna-Blueger-Archibald. Or they could just keep it like this.

Yeah at this point I think it would just make more sense to hope he has a good season and wait til the TDL, retain half and get way better value. It’s not like WPG is hurting for cap space right now and with PLD looking like he wants to leave asap, wpg should look to get good prospects and picks so they don’t have to do a long term rebuild. And can just build around guys like Perfetti.

If it was the beginning of the offseason I’d say yeah. Unless they could get Kadri, but I’d doubt that.
