In the PLD trade, the Jets will have to get back one of Suzuki or Dach, otherwise, they won't make the deal, sign him to a 1 year, and sell him at the deadline as an RFA rental.

It sounds like the Jets are holding up the trade because they are fixated on one certain player and it sounds like it is Suzuki. A one for one works. I still think PLD is the better player, but the Jets are in a bit of a pickle in that the only team willing to trade for PLD is the Habs.

Absolutely not to number one and still no to two. Sign him for 2 years or trade him elsewhere and get assets while you can. It would be stupid for us to send away assets now when we can sign him in 2 years

At the draft, MTL acquired the 13th pick to flip to Winnipeg but they couldn't make the deal so I believe that MTL used that pick to acquire Dach incase they didn't get Dubois or use Dach in a Dubois trade because they knew the Jets would have interest in him.

This is what will happen: he will sign his 1 year QO this year and next year, then sign with MTL in 2024 as a UFA
