I see Trenin's deal resembling Jarnkrok/Sissons/Lauzon knowing how Poile thinks

I like Lankinen honestly, and for him, it's great to have a Finnish mentor like Saros to learn from, but it doesn't make the team better than having Ingram up this year

Cap space for one last UFA - Nino fits the lineup well, but I feel like they'll give him enough for it to be regrettable before long... fall back could be someone like hoffman or Drouin from MTL if Hughes prioritizes cutting payroll for meager returns

Either way, 17th overall pick here we come again

Neiderreiter would be a good fit if he’s playing with Granlund or Johansen. U don’t sign him to play bottom line minutes with Cody Glass imo.

i didnt mean to order the lines necessarily.... trenin/sissons/jeannot is kinda the 4th line but also kinda an identity line so they get more minutes and often open periods

but at the same time, tolvanen and tomasino need to develop higher in the lineup too... i agree nino is more useful higher in the lineup, but like that would make too much sense for management to do

Would probably make sense for Niederreiter to play with Glass and Tomasino/Tolvanen

Rumor is we talked to Nino and couldn't get a deal done (I'm guessing term is the holdup). Door not closed but sounds less likely at this point. I'm guessing Poile is currently surveying the trade market for guys like Puljujarvi/Miller/Necas.

I don’t c Edmonton or Carolina moving either Puljujvari or Necas. That being said if Poile is willing to make a big swing I think Travis Konecky would be a phenomenal fit.
