Description

RE: Trade with Washington gets both teams fair value.

RE: Trade with Leafs - Canucks get a true 3rd line Centre (with only 1 year remaining), and an underperforming RH D-man.
Leafs get an equally underperforming RH D-man but for $750k less, and get much needed cap space to sign Jack Campbell. Engvall takes Kerfoot's spot.

LW/RW tough guy Deslauriers signed to keep other teams honest with our smaller forwards, and RH stay-at-home, tough D-man Chariot signed to maximize Rathbone's potential.

Future Cap flexability to Sign Horvat long term and Kuzmenko if he turns into a legit solid NHL player.

Poolman is by far the least valuable asset in that leafs trade. He's awful and an awful player with retention is still awful.

I don’t think the caps could say no to that trade. Not having to give up a first for a guy like Miller would be great. It would suck to lose McMichael, but Kuznetsov-Miller-Lapierre down the middle would do just fine.
