Why do you suppose Maroon is going to sign for the same amount of money that he signed when he was producing less. Plus now he is a UFA he will get more than 2 mil for 2 years.

The Eberle trade is B.S. Look at some of the other teams fans trades for him on this site, atleast they appreciate a 50+ more often 60+ point a year player. Gallagher has never been and will never be as good as Ebs. Shitty Oilers fans gonna chase him off like Shultz, and get nothing in return. You think other players want to play in that environment.

He is only producing the way he is because he is playing with McDavid and on the powerplay, let somebody else overpay for him if you think he is worth more.

Agreed. This guy trades Eberle for a worse player, adds a high pick and then takes a $6.75MM cap hit. That's grounds for immediate dismissal.

He is only producing the way he is because he is playing with McDavid and on the powerplay, let somebody else overpay for him if you think he is worth more.


Lots of players get overpaid. I'm sure there is one GM of the 30 who would overpay. Plus is it a drop off if for example the Penguins signed him and he played with Crosby.
