Zaitsev has a modified no trade clause so he probably shuts that down. I think that Ottawa will end up buying out Zaitsev as it is unlikely that he allows a trade to a bottom dwelling team.

Zaitsev is in Ottawa, I'm just saying that Zaitsev will want to move to a contender not another bottom dweller, though I do think that if things went right for Buffalo they could make some noise and start to leave there 10 year rebuild.

Even if he would accept the trade, he would not accept being buried in Rochester. So the whole thing is moot. Plus we wouldn't want Zaitsev anyways
