MTL
  1. Dellandrea, Ty
  2. Faksa, Radek
  3. Choix de 2e ronde en 2022 (DAL)
Détails additionnels:
Montreal is obviously selling low but there's still value in Petry. Dellandrea is a prospect that's burried behind so much depth, Faksa is cap that will have to come back on any type of Petry deal and a 2nd round pick. Underwhelming trade package for some but if we stay realistic it's gonna be something like this, B prospect with a middle pick and cap coming back.
DAL
  1. Petry, Jeff
Détails additionnels:
Petry's been linked to Dallas so I'll take the easy road here. He was linked to Norris conversation no further than 10 months ago, he hasn't played good this year but opposite to what people think it's not because of his age, simply lack of commitment because of his personal life situation. That will be resolved by trading him back to the states, Dallas gets a warrior that played through playoffs series with two dislocated fingers but who is lacking high end leadership. Should be a perfect complementary piece to a locker room filled with leaders.

MTL
  1. Choix de 2e ronde en 2022 (SJS)
Détails additionnels:
Now considering the contract differences between Weber (25% real money versus cap hit) and Little (100ish% real money versus contract) I firmly believe it's worth much more to a team that doesn't actually want to spend a penny.
Lowest of their 2nd round picks on draft day and they get whatever B- type of prospect from Montreal, Trudeau fits the bill cause we kinda have too many LDs.
ARI
  1. Trudeau, William [Liste de réserve]
  2. Weber, Shea
Détails additionnels:
So Montreal needs cap and Arizona might want to hit the cap.
Seems like a deal was almost made yesterday but Arizona took Little's contract instead for now. Considering Winnipeg gave away a prospect that made it known to the Jets he wouldn't sign with them by the end of his NCAA stint and they got a 4th back for him we have to guess that Montreal asked for more.

MTL
  1. Choix de 1e ronde en 2022 (COL)
Détails additionnels:
Now if there's a conspiracy and Montreal is looking to get rid of Mailloux, that could be a place where they could do so without actually loosing value on investment. Arizona gets an excellent prospect and cap relief, they on the other side get a bad PR move and give some picks.
Lowest of their 1st round picks.
ARI
  1. Mailloux, Logan [Liste de réserve]
Détails additionnels:
Weber with a curve ball.
4.
MTL
  1. Choix de 3e ronde en 2023 (ANA)
Détails additionnels:
Just a placeholder, any team looking for middle six wingers with no term. I guess some high 3rd would be fine? If there's no interest in him I guess we'd trade Byron cause he certainly has value on an expiring deal.
ANA
  1. Drouin, Jonathan (2 250 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
Now that Drouin has only one year left on his deal I think Montreal can easily retain salary and another team willing to get him. Dru went through his dark days but he's getting moved mainly because he doesn't fit in a big market with big expectations on him.

Zero chance you get remotely positive value for a team taking on Weber for 5 years. In fact the 2nd should be going ng the other way because of that term.

Also you realize Little's contract is completely insured right? So Arizona literally won't be paying him a penny

You do know that his contract is perfect for a low income team right? Cap hi of $7,857,143 but only 6M$ in real money spread on the next four years, real money of only 19% of the cap hit. Arizona just gave a fourth for the signing rights of a prospect that didn't want to sign in Winnipeg just to get Little's contract which is linked to much more real money than Webs.

"Perfect" is a flawed word here as 5 years is a very long time and for the most part past their rebuild. They could get Seabrook for free to meet the cap floor for the next 2 years and spend a total of 2.2M over his remaining 2 years for a cap hit of 6.875M.

And again, Little is linked to zero money, his contract is completely insured. That means Arizona wpnt be paying him anything
