Red Wings continue to gain young assets that can play immediately in Barron and Lundkvist. Berard is a very promising prospect for a depth scorer. This years first and next years 3rd help to offset the retention of salary.

Paul and Ennis provide depth scoring for the Rangers. The 2nd 4th and Gauthier gives Ottawa more assets to help with their rebuild and a RFA that they can use as a depth piece.

McBain for Kravstov is two teams that are exchanging disgruntled prospects from the same draft class.

Kulak for a 2nd gives Montreal an asset to continue their vision and provides the Rangers with a bottom 2 pair defenseman that is reliable.

Buyout Nemeth in the off season or attempt to move him to a team with cap space.
