Description

We saw it last night. Depth is not having the best 4th line in hockey or the best shutdown line in the game. It’s about having 2 top lines that bury opponents and a 3rd line that can pick up the slack when the top 2 lines get shut down. FLA has it. The Wild do not. A trade won’t solve it.

Aside from the fact that the team really needs 2 more top 6 pieces and another 4/5 d man. I have a question for you all.

Does Giroux as 2nd line C bring a bigger marginal benefit than Giroux as COL 3rd line wing?

I know. Im more looking for opinions on how much better Giroux makes either team since I don’t think the Wild are “there” yet. Giroux would go to COL to play 3rd line wing rather than 2nd line C. That adds not only a scoring punch down the lineup, it’s insurance in case of injury. For the Wild you just add a marginal gain to their 2nd line.

And FWIW I’ve learned to ignore that guy.
