Do you protect Fleury or Helle in the expansion draft? What do you give Vegas to not take the goalie you protect? Why doesn't Pittsburgh just give Vegas that instead?

For the trade I guess I would assume dumonlion would work as well. Fluery is a proven goalie which I would say the Jets needed this year to make the playoffs and make a push. While I agree it may not be the top lhd you wanted for trouba but I think this makes the team better. I don't follow the team as close so was your defense a big issue or goaltending was the main one.

You don't trade your best dmen for a goalie. Lots of goalies to be had for much cheaper no reason to over paid.

But eventually your best dman is going to leave. He won't be playing when his contract is up next year. Same BS as this year
