Even if the your UFA signings receive more money than you suggested, the Avs do have the cap room. As you suggest, Glencross and Franson might be a good fit with the Avs short term.

With guys like Martinsen and Rendulic, and especially Hishon, I don't see the need for an older, inconsistent guy like Glencross. Everything else looks good. That Stuart buyout... we can all dream.

Yeah the Stuart Buyout is a pipedream, but who know maybe the old broken down man will have to go on LTIR, one can only hope.

I don't see Martinsen , Rendulic, Hishon making the team out of camp. Hishon would need to learn to move to Wing. They will top call ups once injury hits so they will see NHL time this season.
The reason why I would like to see a forward PTO at camp is that currently the roster is lacking a seasoned PKer. McLeod, Cliche, ROR, were our major PKing forwards last season.

Glencross is rumoured to have a PTO from us, which would make sense since he saw a lot of time on the PK with the flames
