Description
Schenn for Vatanen gives Anaheim the chance to not lose him (Vatanen) and protect their forwards (speculating Bieksa DOESN'T get bought out/waive his NTC). Ghost gets a 5yr deal at a reasonable price, sacrificing a little bit of $ for term. i have no idea what they'll give Vecchione. They snag Condon with a pay raise and the potential for playing time. Love me some Raffl, but he's most likely taken if he's exposed. Jordan Weal stays with the promise of playing on the top line, and a "prove-it" pay raise. Cousins re-signs with a chance to earn a pay raise on his next contract. Stoli starts in LHV, but since Neuvirth is so brittle, he'll get called up throughout the season. "Realistic" best-case scenario for SucMac is that he gets sent down to LHV again.

That logic about the Ducks not losing a Dman is correct, but with the trade, the Ducks will lose a forward...Schenn or Sliverberg, so from the Ducks view the trade makes no sense,
What the Ducks would want in return is someone or two that are not protectable . Vatanen for Konecky and Hagg . Either way the Ducks can do a lot better than just exhanging guys who might be claimed by Vegas.

don't think ANA takes that trade. They would lose Vermette in that instance so they'd probably prefer a forward who is exempt that is a center.

If the Ducks trade Vatanen they will not lose a forward like Silfv or Shenn. They will then protect 7 Forwards and 3 D, with bieksa waiving his NMC
