Huh. That's actually quite an intriguing Blackhawks trade to me. I definitely think that can go places.

I still think it's probably worth dumping Nemeth in exchange for the cap space to add someone like Blais to the third line though. I just can't expect to see any of Barron, Rooney, Reaves, or Hunt (or Maroon) enter the season as a designated third line player.

That full Hawks trade (cause it looks weird like that) at the deadline would be:
CHI: Chytil, 2022 2nd round pick
NYR: Strome, DeHaan, 2022 3rd round pick

This would give us a 3C (to play with LAF) and a bottom pair LD. For the 2021 playoffs.

Maroon here is a 4th line guy, an extention (with Goodrow) of the successful bottom 6 of the Tampa cup teams.
In this situation moving Nemeth would be an absolute last resort. An after training camp thing where we have no other choice and we cant find a suitable RW.

Looks good to me for Pavs. I’d kinda prefer the 2022 pick as I don’t think we need a full on rebuild, but I can see the argument for maybe getting a better pick next year. Either way I’d be happy with that
