Kakko's certainly interesting. But I'd pass as LA.

The upgrade from Kaliyev to Kakko doesn't outweigh the downgrade from Turcotte to Chytil, in my opinion. And Jones doesn't move the needle for LA. That's why LA fans are saying that if Turcotte is involved in any trade to NY, K'Andre Miller would need to be coming back.

Honestly, its not a huge deterrent for me to include Miller instead of Jones in that trade, however thats just me. Just the thought of trading Kakko AND Miller in the same trade for most Rangers fans is eye gouging, but for Turcotte, I think its worth the gamble to consolidate all the prospects we have into a center.

How about…

Miller & Chytil for Turcotte
Or Miller & 3rd for Turcotte

I think there'd be a legit discussion where the Kings accept a trade like that. Even with the couple of ELC years lost in Kaliyev vs Kakko, it addresses too much of the Kings needs to not consider (LD and top-6 ready NHL talent).

Also, as a sidenote, I love that line of Lafreniere-Turcotte-Kaliyev. How about you send Laffy our way?
