Is Roy someone LA is looking to move?

No from LA. They're not going to downgrade their RHD for a couple futures that likely won't turn into anything useful.

They'd included him in a package for Nylander or swap him for Sandin. Outside of that, there's not really a trade that would work here.

Sandin is way out of question and not in the same ball park. If Muzzin was moved for 2 prospects and a 1st how Roy near that value when he doesn’t have near the pedigree?

Holl bridges the time for Walker return next year and Brandt Clarke arrival in the NHL. Plus y’all get a potential 1st rounder. Maybe we can add a prospect but that’s more than fair for a team that’s highly unlikely to make the playoffs with the emergence of Calgary, Edmonton and Vegas in their division.

Just throwing some ideas out there. The 2nd pair has really struggled and someone like Roy can provide Muzzin with some stability so he can play more like himself and not stress about Holl breakout plays

LA isn't looking to move Roy. They're no longer rebuilding and are looking to win now. He's LA's 2nd best defenseman.

The only way they move him is if someone offers something of greater immediate need. Those needs being top six wing or LHD. Trading Roy for Holl sets the rebuild back several years while they wait for guys like Faber, Grans, or Clarke to gain NHL experience. Defensemen notoriously take the longest to develop.

I'm not saying that Toronto should trade Sandin or Nylander for Roy, but LA will have little interest of moving Roy if neither is coming back their way.
