Description

I really don't see a world where Islanders would make Barzal available.
For fun let's say the Islanders go the route of a retool or a rebuild, after realizing Lou has allowed the team to get to old to compete. Now logic says Barzal is young so you hold on to him, but he is also a very valuable piece and expensive. So that's the motivation to move him.

That’s not close to getting it done. A blue chip center prospect would need to be included to even get the isles to listen, which would mean Rossi. Considering star centers are hard to find/develop, isles have no interest in trading barzal

The main reason the isles are struggling is Trotz coaching , not the age of the roster.

I think if you took out sturm and added beckman and a 2nd they would at least consider it. Isles aren’t looking to move him so it would take an overpay for them to entertain it.
