Who wins this trade

Boeser is worth more than a 1st and 3rd, Petterson would be a cap dump, and Angelo and Legare have no value. Pittsburg would win that trade but the Canucks wouldn't make the trade. Swapping Kapanen for Petterson makes it a little better but probably not enough for the Canucks to say yes.

I would much rather Kapanen in this deal than Pettersson

2 things that you said here are truly false. Pettersson isn't a cap dump and has been great this year, and Lagere isn't worth nothing, he's looked pretty good on people level

Pettersson really wouldn’t be a cap dump. He’s having a really nice bounce back year and has been a really solid shut down defender. Because of his abilities defensively it makes it worth it having him at $4mAAV. But the rest of the deal isn’t all that great for Vancouver. Cause the only value in it is Pettersson and a 1st round pick. Legare is a decent prospect though. But I’m mostly justifying Pettersson here. But I think Kapanen should be the player in the deal here. Vancouver would have too many top 4 LHD.

Petterson is overpaid IMO and therefore a cap dump. I haven't seen Lagere play but his stats aren't great, who knows if he'll ever be an NHL player.
