    Nice trade Mac. Works for both teams. Ott and Campbell though would be able to get more than that unless they had horrible seasons this year. Both are still decent players.

    Since Mark Staal has a NTC, the Rangers have limited options where to send him, Carolina may be one of the places as you suggest. Carolina knowing that the Rangers need cap room, the Canes shouldn't/wouldn't give up a first rounder just to enable the Rangers to get outta cap hell. (remember Jim Rutherford is no longer their GM).
