Description

Holtz has been a scratch for 3 or 4 games now that shouldn’t happen he should either be playing in the NHL or playing in the AHL he shouldn’t be sitting out.

Smith and Severson need to be broken up because they aren’t playing well together. They also need better special teams and puck management and most importantly more consistency

Subban should be played more than seversons line, because Subban has been better, until seversons game comes back. Subban and Smith should always be the D on the 2nd PP and Severson should be on the P.K. but I think he needs to be taken off it till he finds his game his defenseman game has been really bad and I hope he can turn it around.

Then maybe Graves and siegenthaler switch but Graves would still get a lot of time on the P.K. and ruff plays the 2nd and 3rd pairs pretty evenly. But Severson needs reduced ice time to find his game because he has cost the team a lot lately

I assume they're trying to set him up to succeed before he burns a year on his ELC because they know how helpful a goal-scoring winger would be on the team right now. Management will probably only give him his 5 more games to prove he's an NHLer this season. Probably working with the trainers/Zajac/Elias to try to get the most out of those 5 games that they can.

I like him, but he has not put up that much offense yet which I would be fine with and am ok with but his defense is terrible. Specifically his puck management, the past few games he has turned the puck over directly to an opposing player in his D-zone and they scored. In the offensive zone he has had turnovers that have lead to odd-man rushes that have sometimes lead to goals. On the PP time he has turnovers and takes bad shots. I have liked him in previous years and I liked him the beginning of this year but he has lost his game. I am a fan of Severson and all the pride has playing for NJ but I really hope he can find his game.
