Thing 1: Josh Brown, you no longer have a spot on this roster. It's obviously not his fault he got COVID, and you obviously hope he's able to come back at 100% with no lingering issues. That having been said, he's just awful, and Lassi Thomson has absolutely earned an extended look in Ottawa with how well he's played. Holden was the best of the non Chabot-Zub Dmen To start, so bump him up as a mentor with Thomson, so Lassi isn't right in the fire playing with Chabot right away.

Thing 2: Filip Gustavsson is obviously the guy. I know they'd sent him down to avoid potentially losing Forsberg on waivers, but come on now. It was as stupid then as It is now. Forsberg is terrible, so losing him would be no big loss, and even if they are that worried about it, just keep Forsberg and go 1-1-1 with Forsberg, Del Zotto and Shaw as spares.

Thing 3: now is the time to audition Tim Stützle down the middle. The Season has basically already been punted, so now is the time to experiment and see if it could work long term. I'm sure they'll make calls to add someone, but in the mean time it's the right time for Timothy. We've also had very little opportunity to see how Brady and Timmy work at even strength, and I'd like to see it.
