Easy decline from the Devils, Mercer isn't going anywhere after his growth in the last year. I also really hope that the Devils don't offer Gaudreau 8.5x6

I can’t say I like trades that predict an extension being attached just because we don’t generally know what’s going on in the players mind and if they would sign or prefer to test open market and try to get on with a preferred destination. Also just throwing out length and cap hit doesn’t tell enough is there clauses involved? Is it bonus heavy or flat rate these details can significantly change the value and willingness of jersey to give more or less. I know it’s being a bit picky.
