Kraken need a 1C and Kuzy’s probably getting dealt. Caps get a solid 3rd liner in Jarnkrok (they’re probably fine with Backstrom/Eller/McMichael up the middle) and get a couple younger pieces to complement the likes of McMichael/Samsonov for the future, while also gaining 5.8mil cap space for another move.

I really like these lines for Seattle. Appleton is a prime breakout candidate who may jump past Donskoi at even strength. Gourde and Wennberg would both be fine at 2C, so bringing in a 1C to push one of them down to 3C gives Seattle pretty solid centre depth, and also allows them to play McCann on the wing, where he’s better suited as another prime breakout candidate (could put him on the top line over Schwartz even). Goalies are obviously fantastic, real good 1A/1B. Defense is deep and balanced, and it would be funny to see the former Flame and Oiler on a pairing. Could also see Gio-Dunn as the top pair and Oleksiak-Larsson as a shutdown pair, but this way both pairs have a real good puck mover. Soucy-Fleury is a solid 3rd pair, hopefully we see the Fleury-Fleury pair at some point though too lol
