Isn't the cap almost 100% certain to stay the same? Sabres arent going to be signing any big UFA's this year, they have to pay Eichel and Reinhart next year

First things first. You're not prying Brodin away from Minny with Baptiste. Lets be real.

Otherwise this is a good team if you're going for the cup that year. Otherwise you're completely screwed when it comes time to resign your future guys like Eichel.

Also Nylander should be ready to play next year, why don't you have him in your lineup?

They say that every year, yet it always manages to go up a few million. I fully expect the Sabres to try and land another player this year. Contracts such as Moulson and Bogosian will be coming off the books soon. They will have no problem with Reinhart and Eichel.

Minnesota will need to move a Dman due to the expansion draft. Two 2nds and a fairly decent prospect for a player they might lose for nothing is rather decent compensation.

As for Nylander, many believe he will still need some time in the AHL next year.

Minny will lose a D-man, but two 2nds and a b-prospect isn't going to get Brodin. The Wild then lose Scandella to the expansion draft. Bad management to lose 2 players for that deal.
