You do realize hawks aren’t completely off the hook yet of Keith salary. It’s completely possible that he only intends to play one more season which does add up to the cost to acquire from oilers perspective if that proves to be the case hawks get hit with recapture penally which explains why stan wouldn’t retain because he’s going to get hit later with that. Talking about a guy who turns 38 tomorrow and has been paid out the majority of his contract already can’t say that isn’t in the cards.
