Buyouts:
- Virtanen (either 50K or terminated)

Trades:
- Philly is a good fit for Schmidt and idk what the return would be, but Benning loves his reclamation projects so I picked Patrick. (if not Philly he could definitely get moved somewhere else like New Jersey)
- Lind for Kerfoot was a comparable to the Johnsson for Anderson trade

Expansion:
- Holtby is probably the best option, they could take him and then flip him to another team at 50% for an asset (if they decide not to keep him).

NHL Draft:
1st Round: Kent Johnson (sign him by the end of the year to play in either Vancouver/Abbotsford (local guy!)
3rd or 4th Round: Trevor Wong (another local product that could drop in the draft, but he is ultra skilled)

RFA Signings:
- Petey and Hughes are both getting shorter term deals (per Dhaliwal, Friedman, etc)
- Petey is looking at something like Barzal ($7 x 3 years)
- Hughes can't be offersheeted and isn't arb eligible so he probably gets $5.5M-6.5M depending on the term (2-4 years)

UFA Signings:
- Barrie comes home at something in the $5M-$6m for 4-5 years
- McCabe missed most of the year, but has been very very solid in the past although being stuck beside Risto in Buffalo (good buy low candidate)
- Hamonic on anything at or under $2.5M for up to two years makes sense
- Only way Edler returns is at a cheap deal ($2M is still pretty expensive)
- Same situation for Sutter as Edler
- With Holtby gone, and Demko primed to play 50+ games, back up goalie is not a position the Canucks should spend a lot in.
- Good old local boy in Reimer could be it if he's willing to take the cut (I'm not attached to him at all though lol)
- Gotta give the local boy Tristen Nielsen a shot with the Abbotsford team! (same with Irwin and Burroughs)
