People always asume Weber is bad contract. Once he retires (this summer or next year imo), NAS will be the team inheriting the whole cap. Drouin isnt a cap dump cmon buddy. MTL definitely isnt the team giving up a first in this trade.

It would be fair if Weber finish is contract. But this year or next he’ll retired and like you said NSH will be in trouble

You might not be interested, but The Habs are definitely dumping the worse money. Drouin hasn’t played for you guys all playoffs. JVR and Ghost slide right in on your PP1 too.

Thoughts on Drouin for Ghost? Both are arguably negative value players and fulfill a need on each team. (Saving 1M, PP2 QB Ghost, middle six F, PHI)

I know most habs fans don't think this year is a detriment to his value - but it still doesn't hide their severe need to clear cap to keep Danault and/or Tatar. Ghost is a better version of Gustafsson that improves on the D core.

I actually posted that deal and think the Flyers may need to add there. I like it personally, and I don’t think Drouin is washed.
