If Tampa Bay can do it then why not the Leafs?

It's terrible that Tavares won't feel himself until next years playoffs battling strange and unexplained side effects of the head injury in the playoffs. 3 weeks before the 2022 playoffs he begins to positively respond to treatments.

Muzzin has a recurring groin injury that keeps him off the team until next years playoffs as well. It flared up in this years Montreal series and never really healed until 2022 playoffs were about to start. He gets a chance to do a conditioning stint with the Marlies.

The following off-season Foligno and Mikheyev are done and a decision will have to be made regarding Rielly and Bogosian. Kerfoot could probably be moved.

Looks good to me. Especially when NYI was also in trouble but Ladd and Boychuk saved them $11 mil on LITR.

    Technically it could work, but the problem is that your roster would be over the cap by way too much during the offseason. I think 10% is the maximum you can be over the cap during the offseason. This is why VGK had to move Schmidt for measly return after signing Pietrangelo.

    That would prevent you from signing one of Hamilton or Coleman.

    This was likely the reason why TB re-signed the likes of Cirelli and Sergy just at the end of the offseason too.
